01What is a powers SMP?
Power SMPs blew up on YouTube: a group of players on a survival server, each with a special ability, fighting and scheming over who gets stronger. The idea is simple. Survival, plus something your character can do that normal Minecraft does not allow.
Many of the SMPs you see in videos are private or whitelisted creator servers. Watching is easy. Joining is not. That is why people search for a powers SMP they can actually play.
CHEAT SMP takes the same idea and makes it public. Everyone starts with two powers, earns more by playing, and can lose rare ones to other players. You are not watching the story. You are in it.
02What to check before joining a powers SMP
- Do you need mods? Some power servers require a modpack. Server-side plugins work on a normal client.
- Are powers sold? If the strongest abilities are in the store, it is pay-to-win.
- Is there a cost to using them? Without cooldowns or a resource, the fastest clicker wins.
- Can new players catch up? Late joiners need a path.
- Is PvP forced? Some players want powers for survival, not fights.
03How powers work on CHEAT SMP
CHEAT SMP's twist is that the powers are "cheats," the kind of thing you would normally get banned for, built into the server legitimately.

04The catch: Heat and WANTED
Powers are not free. Each use adds Heat, capped at 100. Overheat in Survival with PvP on and you go WANTED: you glow for 60 seconds, hunters within 300 blocks get a compass ping to your rough area, and you stay WANTED for 180 seconds. Packs level up as you mine, double-jump and use powers, and Pack Level 10 earns PACK LEGEND. Each pack also shows an aura and name-tag color, so other players can read your build at a glance.
07Powers you can steal
Most power SMPs lock your ability to your character. CHEAT SMP has three that move between players: Legendary Flight, Legendary X-Ray and Legendary Shockwave. Exactly one of each exists. Take down the holder and it can be yours.
WANTED players can also drop stolen Cheat Charges, Echo Shard items that hold one power use. The server's best moments, like Legendary transfers, show up automatically on the Hall of Infamy.
08How to get your first power
- Add play.cheatsmp.dev in Minecraft Java 26.3. Help is on the join page.
- Run
/survival. About 20 seconds later you get Dash. - Mine 10 ores, pick a Cheat Pack, and use a power for +5 Patches.
