How to join CHEAT SMP

CHEAT SMP is a free Minecraft Java survival server where you earn real cheat powers. Here is the IP and the 60-second setup.

How to join

01Join in 5 steps

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher and start Java Edition 26.3 (the latest release).
  2. Click Multiplayer, then Add Server.
  3. Name it CHEAT SMP and paste play.cheatsmp.dev as the server address. Leave resource packs on Enabled.
  4. Click Done, select CHEAT SMP and hit Join Server.
  5. In the hub, type /survival. About 20 seconds later you get your first cheat, Dash. The tutorial walks you through the rest.

02Join on Bedrock (phone, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch)

  1. Open Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) and go to Play, then the Servers tab.
  2. Tap Add Server. Name it CHEAT SMP, address domination-approves.tun.ply.gg, port 53228.
  3. Save and join. You play on the same world as Java players, with the same powers and events.
  4. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch don't let you add servers directly. Use a joiner app such as BedrockTogether on your phone (same Wi-Fi), then join from the Friends tab.

04Your first 10 minutes

New players get 30 minutes of PvP protection and mobs leave you alone at night for the first 10 minutes. The tutorial gives you Dash, sends you to mine 10 ores, lets you pick a Cheat Pack, and pays you Patches and Gems for setting your first home. Read the beginner's guide for everything after that.

What is the CHEAT SMP server IP?

The IP is play.cheatsmp.dev. Add it under Multiplayer, Add Server, then join.

What Minecraft version do I need?

Java Edition 26.3. Use the latest release in the official launcher. Java needs a paid account; cracked accounts can't join. Bedrock players use their Microsoft account.

Can I join from Bedrock, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch or phone?

Yes. Bedrock players join at domination-approves.tun.ply.gg, port 53228, and play on the same world as Java players. No Java account needed. On phones and Windows add it under Servers. Xbox, PlayStation and Switch can't add custom servers directly, so use a joiner app like BedrockTogether.

Is it free?

Yes. Everything that affects gameplay is earned in-game. The store only sells cosmetics like tags, trails and pets.

Why does it say "Outdated client" or "Connection refused"?

Update to Java Edition 26.3 in the launcher, check the address is exactly play.cheatsmp.dev, and try again. If the server is restarting it is usually back within a minute.
