01Is X-ray allowed on Minecraft servers?

Usually not. X-ray mods and X-ray resource packs make blocks transparent so you can see ores through stone. Most public servers list them as disallowed. PikaNetwork, for example, lists "X-Ray mods and texture packs" as forbidden and bans hacked and ghost clients because they give an unfair advantage.

Servers also catch it. Players who mine straight to diamonds stand out in logs, and anti-cheat plugins watch for impossible movement and behavior. A texture pack might feel harmless, but on most servers it is the same rule break as a hacked client.

So if you have been searching for a server where X-ray is allowed, the honest answer is: you want a server where X-Ray is a feature, not a mod.

One thing does not change: real hacked clients are still bannable on CHEAT SMP. The server runs GrimAC anti-cheat on Paper. The point is that you do not need them.

04How to get X-Ray on your first day

Join on Java 26.3 at play.cheatsmp.dev and run /survival.
You already have Ore Ping. Run /cheat use with it, or use the Cheat Remote.
When the tutorial asks you to pick a Cheat Pack, choose Miner. It is free.
Hold the Super Pick, sneak and right-click for a quick X-Ray scan.
Mine what you find. The Super Pick drops ores already smelted, which sell for 50% more.

05Why X-Ray does not break the economy here

If everyone can find diamonds, do diamonds become worthless? CHEAT SMP handles that in two ways. Cooldowns (30 to 60 seconds) and Heat keep X-Ray from running nonstop. Put simply: X-Ray makes you faster at finding ore, but the market decides what that ore is worth.

Ore Ping costs 20 Heat per use, one of the cheaper powers to run often. Stack it with Dash and other powers and you will need to watch your Heat bar, especially with PvP on.

Mix and match. A Miner can Ore Ping, then use the Super Pick scan while Ore Ping cools down. An Explorer gets the long-range Goggles plus Night Vision for dark caves.

07The rarest X-Ray: Legendary X-Ray

Only one Legendary X-Ray exists on the whole server. It upgrades Ore Ping with 30% less Heat and a 25% shorter cooldown, plus a particle effect and a star on the holder's name. You cannot buy it. You take it: killing the holder can transfer it, and if the holder dies to the environment it becomes unclaimed. /legendaries shows who has it. See Legendary cheats.

08Use X-Ray legit
