01Why events matter on an SMP
Most SMPs die the same way. Everyone builds a base, gets diamond gear, and then logs off because there is nothing left to do together. Regular events fix that. They give the whole server a reason to show up at the same time.
The catch is consistency. Events that happen "sometimes" do not build habits. A fixed schedule does.
CHEAT SMP runs something every single night at the same time, so you always know when the server will be busy. The type changes daily, which means a puzzle fan and a PvP fan each get their night.
02The weekly Reality Crash schedule
Every night at 7 PM Central (America/Chicago):

03Modifier cards keep it fresh
Each event can draw modifier cards from a deck, like HEAT x2 or DOUBLE PATCHES. There is a 30% chance of drawing two cards, and no card repeats within 7 days. So the same Wednesday Glitch Games can play very differently two weeks apart.
Tip: a DOUBLE PATCHES night is the best time to push toward your next unlock. A HEAT x2 night is the worst time to spam powers with PvP on. Some event rounds block powers entirely.
Because the deck avoids repeats for a week, regulars do not get the same twist two nights in a row, and the same event type can still surprise people who have played it before.
04The Rat: a social deduction twist
When an event has 4 or more participants and at least one player has opted in with /reality rat on, one player may secretly be The Rat.
- The Rat gets up to 3 sabotages: adding objectives or hitting players with short Darkness or Slowness.
- At the end, everyone votes.
- Catch the Rat: 2 Gems each. Rat survives: 5 Gems and the RAT SURVIVOR title.

05Saturday: the Cheat Cup
Saturday is the big night. The Cheat Cup runs at 6 PM Central, an hour before ANTICHEAT.EXE. Three rounds: Dash Duels, Ore Rush and Shockwave King, with the final round worth 1.5x. Teams of up to 4. Top 3 win Gems, everyone gets 50 Cash and 40 Pass XP, and the winner takes CUP CHAMP. See Cheat Cup.

Events are also where many players get their first Patches after the tutorial, since Reality Crash pays them alongside Gems and items. Show up a few nights a week and the rewards add up fast.
07Your first event night, step by step
- Be online a few minutes before 7 PM Central.
- Finish any arena matches first, since you cannot join arenas during Reality Crash.
- Want a shot at being The Rat? Run
/reality rat onbeforehand. - Join when the event starts and check which modifier cards were drawn.
- Play the objective. Co-op nights need teamwork; Tuesday's Patch Day is a community vote; Thursday is a puzzle.
- Collect your rewards and check
/itemsif you got a custom item.

08How to never miss one
- Set a daily reminder for 7 PM Central (8 PM Eastern, 5 PM Pacific).
- Arenas close during Reality Crash, so finish your matches first.
- Big moments get posted to the Hall of Infamy automatically.
