01The one-sentence version
Most SMPs give you vanilla survival plus a few plugins. CHEAT SMP gives you the stuff that normally gets you banned (flight, X-ray, vein mining, speed) as earned, server-side powers with a cost attached. The cost is Heat. Max out Heat with PvP on and you become WANTED for 180 seconds with a bounty on your head. That loop is the game.
02Six things you will not find on a typical SMP
- Earned powers with real limits. Six core powers (Dash, Ore Ping, Ghost Bridge, Short Flight, Decoy, Shockwave), each with a cooldown and a Heat cost. Short Flight is 30 seconds of cooldown for 5 seconds of flight. It is a tool, not a cheat code.
- Heat and WANTED. Spamming powers is punished by the economy, not by a ban. Hunters get a compass ping to a 64x64 area, never your exact spot, and a valid kill mints 250+ Cheater Cash.
- A market that scales with the server. One Market Index moves every price and reward with the 14-day active player count. Under 30 players it sits near 1x; at 1,000 it is 120x. Prices move at most +5% a day, so nothing whiplashes.
- Something happens every night. Reality Crash runs at 7 PM Central, seven nights a week, a different format each night, with a monthly finale.
- Three Legendary cheats, one of each. Server-wide, held by one player at a time, lost on death or transferred on kill. Legendaries turn the server into a slow-motion heist.
- Nothing that affects gameplay is sold. Patches cannot be bought. Powers cannot be bought. The store is cosmetics, extra homes and claims, and Gems.
03How the gameplay styles compare
Setting server names aside, SMPs mostly fall into three styles. Here is where CHEAT SMP lands.
| Peaceful / vanilla SMP | Hardcore PvP SMP | CHEAT SMP | |
|---|---|---|---|
| PvP | Off or rare | Always on | Opt-in via /pvp; 30 min new-player protection |
| Progression | Vanilla gear | Gear + kills | Patches unlock powers; 60/day cap |
| Risk | Low | Lose items or hearts | Opted-in PvP deaths cost 1 heart (floor 5, never banned); overheat and go WANTED; Legendaries can transfer |
| Economy | Player trades | Loot | Live Market Index, Sell Chests, auctions, bounties |
| Events | Occasional | Wars | Nightly at 7 PM CT + Saturday Cheat Cup |
| Mods required | Usually none | Varies | None; vanilla Java 26.3 client |
04Who it's for
- Players who find vanilla survival slow after the first week and want a progression track that is not just "get netherite".
- Groups of friends who want PvP available but not forced. Opt-in PvP means the builder in your crew can stay out of it.
- Anyone who has ever wanted to fly or X-ray on a public server without a ban. See survival with cheats.
- Players who like having a reason to log in at a specific time. The 7 PM Central event is a daily appointment.
05Who should skip it
- You want pure vanilla. Powers change movement and mining fundamentally. Read CHEAT SMP vs vanilla SMP first.
- You want permanent, uncontested power. Legendaries move. Heat always applies. A Season reset is coming (Season 1 starts Dec 1, 2026).
- You are on Bedrock or a cracked account. Java 26.3 premium accounts only for now.
- You want to buy your way up. There is nothing to buy that affects gameplay, by design.
06Honest caveats
The server opened to the public on Oct 30, 2026. Season 0 is labelled Beta for a reason: numbers get tuned, events get adjusted, and bugs get patched live. Early players get the "BETA TESTER" title and a +50% Patches catch-up bonus in their first week, which is the trade for putting up with it.
Bedrock support is in progress but not live. We do not promise a date.
07Try it for one evening
The tutorial takes a few minutes and hands you your first power 20 seconds in. Join play.cheatsmp.dev on Java 26.3 before 7 PM Central, run /survival, and stay for one Reality Crash. If it is not for you, you have lost an hour. If it is, start saving Patches for Short Flight.
FAQFrequently asked questions
What makes CHEAT SMP different from other SMPs?
Earned server-side cheat powers that cost Heat, a WANTED bounty system for overheating, opt-in lifesteal with a 5-heart floor, a Market Index that scales prices with the player count, nightly events at 7 PM Central, and a store that sells cosmetics only.
Is CHEAT SMP pay-to-win?
No. Patches and powers cannot be bought. Paid plans add cosmetics, Gems and extra homes/claims. See no pay-to-win for details.
Is PvP forced on CHEAT SMP?
No. PvP is opt-in with /pvp, new players get 30 minutes of protection, and only players with PvP on can go WANTED.
Do I need mods to play CHEAT SMP?
No. It runs on Paper and every power is server-side. Any vanilla Java 26.3 client can join at play.cheatsmp.dev.
